Samantha has been with the University of Tennessee since 1999. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from West Virginia State University in 1994, passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in 1995, and earned a Master’s in Business Administration – Strategic Leadership from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2009. Since the Shared Services Office began in 2015, Samantha has overseen the office and expanded the reach and responsibilities as well as navigated the challenges of growth. In her current role, she continues to oversee the office while also holding the roles of Campus Procurement Card and Travel Card Administrator and performing other delegated travel, and procurement related duties. Her mission for Shared Services is to serve and support internal and external constituencies by performing financial services, providing timely and accurate information about UT resources, giving clear direction, offering thoughtful guidance, and delivering quality service. |

Austin Madden |
Austin started working for the University of Tennessee in November of 2022. He received an associate degree from Pellissippi State Community College in Computer Accounting in 2016. He went on to complete his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Tennessee Wesleyan University in 2019. Most recently Austin completed his MBA with a concentration in Accounting from Tennessee Wesleyan University in 2022. While in school he worked in public accounting for six years and focused on income tax accounting. Austin completed the Lean Applied to Business Certification in September 2024, and received his Yellow Belt February 2024. His mission is to provide excellent service while employing process improvement principles. |

Kendyl began her tenure at the University of Tennessee in May 2023, currently serving as a Financial Associate within The Office of Shared Services. Prior to her role at the university, she successfully owned and managed a women’s retail shop and salon for eight years. In that position, she handled marketing, procurement, management, and daily operations while overseeing a team of employees and delivering exceptional customer service.
During her time at the University of Tennessee, Kendyl has acquired new skills in various software systems, and has gained experience in payment processing and data entry. Her objective is to provide exceptional customer service through efficient time management and support in financial processes. Recognized for her commitment to excellence, strategic thinking, and dedication to service, Kendyl is already making a substantial impact in her career at the University of Tennessee. |

Demi is new to the University of Tennessee. Prior to the university she was in finance and banking for 11 years with a concentration in Core Systems and Fraud. Demi received her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2014 and received her Master’s in Business Administration and Leadership in 2020. Demi completed the Lean Applied to Business Process Certification January 2024, and received her Yellow Belt March 2024. Demi‘s primary goal is to learn and grow in her new position, so she is able to provide excellent support to the team and to her customers. |

Becky has been with the University of Tennessee since January 2000. She has worked in various areas including auxiliary, academic, and administrative. She joined the Office of Shared Services in 2018.
Becky received her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2017 and received her master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology in August 2022, both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She also completed the Lean Applied to Business Process Certification in 2019 and is a Certified Administrative Professional. During her time in the Office of Shared Services, she has built lean systems and processes for financial processing and record keeping. In her current role, she supports the Knoxville campus employees with DASH Expense. Becky also creates and shares instructional content to help other university employees with process improvement. Her mission is to provide training and support through excellent customer service. |
